Our 3rd concert in june is a very special one. No, no, no, it's not brazilian-samba-crazy evening (perhaps in the end, hahahaha). But I know this fantastic musician Juliano Abramovay for many years, and his work is worth to see and check. He is a brazilian guitarist that explores other crazy instruments like oud and fretless guitar, and other musical styles like Greek, Arabic and Turkish music. So, this evening will be about world music. As usual, we will have a wonderful concert watching the sunset from our studio and afterwards a jam session starts with those who are willing to play (like me, betinha, with cavaquinho in my hands waiting for my turn, hahahaha). And the party goes until... who knows πŸ˜³πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒ

PROGRAM: 20.00 doors are open, drinks are served 21.00 concert starts 22.30 jam session 00.00 the jam is grooving a lot 02.00 we start to feel more sleepy 03.00 bed time ;)

Feel free to bring your family and friends. Spread the world about our events. And also a drink or snack is welcome, I never know how many people came, so I can only provide for few people. And of course, if you wanna make the musicians really happy, support them with what you can. I usually ask 10 euros because a concert in Holland costs more and less that. And you are getting not only a concert, but an amazing evening. As usual, our parties are awesome, the fun I guarantee 😎 see you june 15th!

INFO ABOUT THE CONCERT:

The name Amazonon evokes the Amazon tribe from the Greek Mythology, at the same time recalling the exuberance of the Amazon rain forest. Not surprisingly, the ensemble was born from the encounter of musical universes from different traditions; the melodic richness of Greek, Arabic and Eastern Mediterranean music combined with the rhythmic and harmonic deepness of Brazilian music, country where Juliano Abramovay was born. Jacobus Thiele and Daniel De Boer complete the group with an innovative rhythmical approach.

The ensemble interprets historic compositions from Greece and Turkey and contemporary pieces from musicians that are connected with the Makam idiom, the modal system observed in the Mediterranean and Middle East. The multicultural background from the musicians is a synthesis of how they relate to the idea of tradition; each song introduces new lights and colors to the presentation, and the variety of places where they originate helps to create a rich and diverse mosaic.

with: Juliano Abramovay - Guitar, fretless guitar, oud Daniel de Boer - Double Bass Jacobus Thiele - Percussion
