BRAZILIAN MUSIC WORKSHOP (16.00)

This Brazilian rhythms workshop is directed to all instruments, focusing on the percussion ensemble of samba, maracatu, baião, ijexá and frevo and how it can be played in groups even without any percussion instruments. Through percussion and drum parts, those rhythms will be analyzed and directed to any given instrument, for playing each individual rhythm on the instrument itself and on ensembles. Interactions between those rhythms will be shown mixing up elements of each rhythm and how it can be applied on a musical setting, in which all the participants will be playing their instruments, whether it's percussion, melodic or harmonic instrument. We encourage you to bring your instrument so you can add those aspects to your performance.
